SUMMARY:
In this position, you will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining various types of data in computer systems and databases. This role supports the overall operations of the company by ensuring data integrity, timely processing of information, and accurate recordkeeping. The Data Entry Clerk performs routine clerical and data verification tasks, reviews information for deficiencies or errors, and helps maintain organized files and archives.
OVERVIEW OF YOUR DAILY TASKS:
- Accurately enter data from various sources into designated databases and systems
- Verify, review, and correct data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Update and maintain records in computer systems and archives
- Compile, sort, and organize source documents according to priorities for data entry
- Review entered data for deficiencies, errors, or incompatibilities and make corrections when possible
- Generate reports and summaries based on data entered into the system
- Maintain files of source documents and other related records
- Perform backup operations and assist with the storage of security and backup data files
- Ensure all records remain current, accurate, and properly maintained
- Protect the confidentiality and security of company data
- Assist with related clerical duties and provide support in resolving basic computer or software issues as needed
- Organize and prioritize work to ensure timely completion in a high-volume environment

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Previous typing and data entry experience preferred
- Typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Required to remain stationary for prolonged periods of time
- Frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
