Job Description For: Warehouse Forklift Utility

Salary/Wage: $18.45- $21.70

Reports To: Warehouse Lead

JOB SUMMARY

Assist warehouse staff in performing various functions that include ship/receive stock and materials, pick, inspect and prepare orders for shipment, keep warehouse clean and organized.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITES

• Assist with dunnage, air-bagging, slip-sheeting, etc. as required.
• Stack/Restack 50-60 lbs. bags by hand.
• Stack/Restack 40-60 lbs. pails by hand.
• Stack/Restack 25-55 lbs. cases by hand.
• Wipe down exterior of product containers prior to shipment.
• Accurately manifest product container seal numbers on shipping documents.
• Ability to operate manual & electric pallet jacks.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities, in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with a minimum amount of direct supervision.
• Perform basic cleanup of warehouse docks, loading docks, shipping office, restrooms, lunch/breakrooms.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude towards the job and duties assigned.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to comprehend and carry out oral/written instructions.
• Good attendance.
• Perform under pressure.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner.

• Safely operate forklift and other warehouse equipment to assist with inbound / outbound trucks.
• Assist warehouse staff with preparing inbound product/supplies for storage in designated areas including high stacking.
• Assist warehouse staff in the picking, pulling and preparation of product/supplies for shipment.
• Assist warehouse staff perform physical inventories as required.
• All other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• 1 year of warehouse environment experience preferred.
• Must be forklift certified.
• High School Diploma and/or equivalent or higher, preferred but not required.

PERSONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Basic knowledge of shipping/receiving/warehouse operations.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and written form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Frequently required to use hands & fingers to handle or grasp objects, reach with hands and arms, required to talk, or hear.
• Frequently lift weights up to 60 lbs.
• Frequently lift objects above or at shoulder height.
• Continuously required to stand, walk & stooping/bending
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Continuously work near forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
• Occasionally exposed to noisy conditions.
• Frequently works in outside weather conditions (0° F - 100 ° F).
• Frequently works inside cold storage buildings (0° F - 55° F).
