- Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using advanced tools like digital X-rays and intraoral cameras.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize patient needs, comfort, and education, ensuring clear communication of procedures and expected outcomes.
- Conduct a wide range of dental procedures such as general dentistry treatments, dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery with precision and aseptic technique.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to explain diagnoses and treatment options to patients, fostering understanding and informed decision-making.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring all medical records are complete, confidential, and up-to-date.
- Collaborate seamlessly with team members using practice management software like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix to schedule appointments, document procedures, and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Uphold infection control standards through proper sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and adherence to OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Stay current with industry best practices by engaging in ongoing education related to pediatric dentistry, dental fabrication techniques, medical imaging advancements, and anatomy knowledge. Experience
- Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment with a strong foundation in general dentistry procedures.
- Prior experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable to effectively manage young patients' needs.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and clinical notes.
- Demonstrated ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), prosthodontics procedures, and oral surgery confidently.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding medical documentation and patient privacy is essential.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology combined with excellent patient care skills aimed at creating positive patient experiences.
