Construction Inspector (MEP)

Front Line Trace Consulting LLC is seeking a Construction Inspector for large-scale building projects in the Albany, NY area. The client for this project is the NYS Office of General Services (OGS).

Job Duties:

• Provide construction inspection for multi trade contracts to ensure the project is constructed in conformance with the contract requirements.
• Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project and coordinate with Regional Code Officer.
• Ensuring that timely decisions are made to keep projects on schedule and within budgeted costs while meeting clients' needs.
• Perform inspections, prepare construction reports, run project meetings and expedite the execution of contracts.
• Maintain a written daily report of project progress, activities performed, contractor's workforce, materials approvals and deliveries and issues on the job site.
• Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, conduct meetings and communicate with team members in various roles as necessary.
• Monitor contractor safety operations and coordinate with Regional Safety Manager as needed.
• Travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum (6) years of experience as a Superintendent or Inspector on large scale, multi-contract building project.
• Ability to develop and communicate a project work plan, monitor manpower and performance against that work plan, and be able to perform a detailed comparison of the design drawings against each other to ensure coordination between each of the various project trades.
• Strong communications skills and a collaborative approach working with both client and construction contractor/subcontractors.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• OSHA 30.

Pay: $83,500.00 - $93,500.00 per year
