This is not a traditional HR role. This is an executive leadership position for a proven operator who can scale people systems, architect culture, and align talent strategy with aggressive business growth across multiple companies.
Why This Role MattersAs our CPO, you will be the strategic force behind workforce performance, leadership development, and company culture across a growing portfolio that includes residential, commercial, and development operations. You’ll partner directly with the CEO and executive team to ensure our people—not just our projects—are built to win.
What You’ll OwnStrategic Talent & Workforce Planning- Forecast workforce needs in partnership with operations leadership to stay ahead of hiring demands
- Design and execute high-impact recruiting strategies to attract top-tier construction and operations talent
- Build onboarding systems that accelerate time-to-productivity
- Establish and drive a unified “One Team, One Standard” performance culture across all business units
- Design performance management systems, compensation plans, and incentive structures
- Build leadership development pipelines that strengthen bench depth at every level
- Lead and mentor the HR function, ensuring seamless payroll, benefits, and employee relations operations
- Scale HR infrastructure through automation and modern systems
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on organizational design, compensation, and change management
- Ensure full compliance with employment laws and industry regulations
- Partner with safety leadership to reinforce a zero-tolerance safety culture across job sites and teams
- High-performing teams are retained and deeply engaged
- Critical roles are filled quickly with top talent
- Organizational performance is aligned and measurable
- Scalable systems and processes support continued growth
- 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including executive-level impact
- Proven success scaling organizations in construction, manufacturing, engineering, or similar project-based environments
- Expertise building compensation frameworks, performance systems, and leadership programs from the ground up
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically—from boardroom decisions to hands-on HR execution
- Strong business acumen and the confidence to challenge, advise, and influence senior leadership
Preferred:
- Master’s degree (HR, Business, or Organizational Development)
- SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or similar certifications
- Experience supporting multi-entity or high-growth organizations
