Autism Experience Required Consistent Weekly Schedule Immediate Hiring
From The Heart Home Care is seeking an experienced, patient, and dependable caregiver to provide one-on-one support for a child with special needs in Turbeville, SC.
This position requires someone who understands the importance of consistency, patience, structure, and individualized care when working with children with autism. Applicants must have at least 3 years of hands-on autism care experience.
Schedule
Monday – Sunday
2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Client Needs & Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one care and supervision
- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living as needed
- Support established routines and structure
- Provide positive engagement and age-appropriate activities
- Assist with meals and snacks
- Provide patient and consistent redirection when needed
- Support independence while maintaining appropriate supervision and safety
- Recognize and appropriately respond to behaviors, communication styles, and sensory needs
- Communicate effectively with the family regarding the child's care
- Maintain a calm, structured, and supportive environment
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with individuals with autism REQUIRED
- Special needs childcare experience strongly preferred
- Experience with behavioral support and redirection preferred
- Patient, compassionate, energetic, and confident
- Dependable and able to maintain a consistent schedule
- Strong communication skills
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle
- Uber, Lyft, taxis, and other ride-share services do not qualify
- Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance required
- Must be a South Carolina resident
- Ability to pass a background check
