Job Overview
You will play a key role in supporting the financial health of the hospital by streamlining processes, assisting with budgeting efforts, and producing precise financial reports. This is a part-time position estimated at 15–25 hours per week, with flexible scheduling.
Mandatory Requirements
- Proven payroll processing experience
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks
- Solid understanding of general bookkeeping and accounting principles
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Record and process journal entries using QuickBooks
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and payment tracking
- Process payroll and assist with tax-related documentation to ensure compliance
- Support budgeting activities by monitoring expenses and preparing variance analysis
- Coordinate with ownership and CPA as needed
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of GAAP and double-entry bookkeeping
- Knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting
- Experience with bank reconciliations, account analysis, and financial reporting
- Familiarity with payroll processing, tax documentation, and A/P & A/R management
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in 10-key typing and data entry accuracy
- Strong communication skills for financial reporting and team collaboration
- Veterinary or medical office experience is a plus, but not required
