Freight Handler / Box Loader & Unloader – West Jordan, UT

Full-Time | Weekend Day & Overnight Shifts

Freight Breakers LLC is looking for reliable and physically capable team members to support our freight operations in West Jordan, Utah. This position involves handling packages in a high-volume warehouse environment where speed, accuracy, teamwork, and safe work practices are essential.

The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks, and able to maintain productivity throughout a long shift.

Position Responsibilities

Team members may assist with both inbound and outbound freight operations, including:

• Moving cartons between conveyors, staging areas, cages, and trailers.
• Loading packages directly into trailers and arranging freight securely.
• Removing freight from incoming trailers and placing packages onto conveyor systems.
• Using handheld scanners to record and track shipments.
• Sorting packages into the appropriate cages or designated areas.
• Maintaining an organized loading and unloading area.
• Following proper lifting techniques and company safety procedures.
• Working efficiently while maintaining accuracy and protecting freight from damage.
• Communicating with coworkers and supervisors to keep freight moving smoothly.
  
  

Performance-Based Compensation

This position offers productivity-based earnings, with compensation determined by the amount of freight handled.

• Typical earning range: $16–$25 per hour
• High-performing employees may have earning potential of approximately $25–$35 per hour
• Greater productivity can result in greater earning potential.

Weekend Shift Options

Day Shift

Friday – Sunday

7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Night Shift

Friday – Sunday

7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Both schedules consist of 12-hour shifts. Additional weekday hours may be offered depending on business needs and availability.

Qualifications

Applicants should be prepared to:

• Maintain dependable attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Safely handle packages ranging from approximately 5 to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
• Work effectively in a fast-moving warehouse environment.
• Follow workplace safety rules and operational procedures.
• Successfully complete required background and drug screening.
• Have dependable transportation to the West Jordan facility.
  
  

Previous warehouse or freight-handling experience is helpful but not necessarily required for the right candidate.
