Position Objective:
A daily substitute teacher will provide effective, consistent, and engaging instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher by maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment; implementing lesson plans as provided; and supporting students’ academic and social-emotional growth in accordance with FLRSD policies and Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) standards
Responsibilities:
Deliver lessons and provide instruction as outlined in teacher plans
Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful classroom environment
Support all students’ learning
Collaborate with support staff and follow student plans as needed
Use effective teaching and classroom management strategies
Promote high expectations, equity, and respect for diversity
Ensure all practices align with district policies and DESE standards
Performance of other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Two Years of College Credits (Daily Sub. Teacher)
High School/Trade School Diploma (Daily Sub. Teacher)
Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check
Salary & Terms of Employment: In accordance with the Freetown-Lakeville Regional School Collective Bargaining Agreement. Employment is contingent upon job performance, program needs, and funding. Salary Range: $90.00 per day
