Job Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Repair Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment such as haul trucks, water trucks, dozers, front-end loaders, and motor graders. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance on machine systems such as hydraulic, power train, and engines
- Removing, repairing, and installing transmissions, engines, brakes, differentials, pumps, motors, torque converters, final drives, and other heavy equipment systems or components
- Maintaining work orders, ensuring a clean and safe work area, and performing work area inspections
The ideal candidate will have one year of experience in Heavy Equipment mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance. Must be able to read and use schematics and possess knowledge of machine systems such as hydraulic, power train, and engines.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting with and performing the removal, repair, and installation of transmissions, engines, brakes, differentials, pumps, motors, torque converters, final drives, and other heavy equipment systems or components
- Performing welding such as Carbon ARC, Plasma, MIG, TIG, and Stick
- Operating equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, and boom trucks
Key qualifications include:
- One year of experience in Heavy Equipment mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance
- Ability to read and use schematics
- Possesses knowledge of machine systems such as hydraulic, power train, and engines
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must:
- Have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists)
- Demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required
- Be able to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
We offer a competitive compensation package including an estimated pay range of $22.50 - $30.00/hour, which reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits, or retirement contributions. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes, or airborne particles. Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing, or plant environment.
