Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Industrial/Facilities Maintenance Technician will provide support and assistance as needed to the Production, Engineering, Quality, and Environmental Health and Safety Departments. This position also assists in the installation and start-up of new production equipment and automation, establishes new routine PM procedures, often works from SAP generated work orders, and supports required recordkeeping practices for Federal, Local, and State regulations.
You will have the opportunity to:
Read and interpret machine manuals, schematics, mechanical drawings, and basic electrical wiring schematics
Repair and support ventilation systems and process support equipment such as Air Dryers, HVAC, chilled water systems, pumps, motors, and other facility machinery
Plant Beautification Projects including but not limited to drywall repairs/installation, bathroom and lunchroom upgrades, plumbing, flooring, lighting
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within an industrial maintenance facility
Verifiable specialized Mechanical Maintenance training or vocational training in maintenance disciplines preferred
Able to work with and around 480 volt – 3 phase and lower electricity
Familiarity with maintenance scheduling and preventive maintenance programs
Basic computer skills; prior work with SAP and Lotus Notes preferred
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
