Clinical Director – Residential Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health Facility

Location: Monroe, LA | Job Type: Full-Time

Are you an experienced Clinical Director passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals struggling with substance use and mental health disorders? We are hiring a dedicated Clinical Director to lead our 36-bed, medically and clinically monitored residential treatment facility specializing in substance abuse and behavioral health.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a qualified professional with a strong background in managing clinical teams and programs, deep knowledge of diverse treatment modalities (CBT, DBT, 12-Step, holistic, trauma-informed, etc.), and a commitment to delivering client-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Program Management:

• Lead daily clinical operations for our SUD and behavioral health program.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical programs aligned with organizational goals.
• Ensure integration of evidence-based and holistic treatment modalities across services.

Regulatory & Quality Compliance:

• Maintain strict compliance with state licensing, Medicaid, and CARF accreditation standards.
• Regularly update policies and procedures to reflect best practices and compliance expectations.

Clinical Team Leadership:

• Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team of counselors, therapists, and case managers.
• Conduct performance reviews and coordinate staff training and development.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain high-quality clinical personnel.

Client Care Oversight:

• Oversee and conduct assessments to determine individualized treatment needs.
• Occasionally facilitate therapeutic groups or educational sessions.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services and client progress.

Crisis Response & QA:

• Provide crisis intervention and implement risk management protocols.
• Monitor service delivery and lead quality improvement initiatives.

Community Relations & Advocacy:

• Cultivate relationships with referral sources and community stakeholders.
• Represent the facility at events, meetings, and outreach activities.

Administrative Collaboration:

• Partner with the Administrator to manage clinical budgets and resources.
• Participate in strategic planning and operational improvements.

Client & Family Engagement:

• Encourage and facilitate family involvement in treatment when appropriate.
• Provide education and support to improve treatment outcomes and long-term recovery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related behavioral health field (Required)
• Active licensure: LMHP, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, or LCADC (Required)
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in mental health or substance abuse treatment
• Proven experience with varied treatment modalities and therapeutic approaches
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Schedule

• Day shift, Monday–Friday
• On-call rotation as needed
• In-person position – Must relocate to Monroe, LA prior to start date

Compensation

$69,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year (based on experience and qualifications)
