Position Summary:
The Controller for a multi-facility inpatient psychiatric hospital is responsible for overseeing all core accounting functions across locations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, and maintaining strong internal controls. This role manages timely and GAAP-compliant financial reporting, supports internal and external audit processes, and leads improvements in financial systems and processes. The Controller also partners with hospital leadership to provide financial insight and decision-making support that promotes operational efficiency and fiscal accountability across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee core accounting operations, including preparation of financial statements, consolidations, and intercompany eliminations in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain the integrity of the balance sheet through reconciliations, account reviews, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships to ensure timely payments and effective financial management.
- Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls while supporting regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including year-end reporting and financial statement disclosures.
- Oversee revenue accounting, lease accounting, capital project accounting, and related financial analyses, including ROI reviews.
- Manage ERP governance, including system interfaces, master data accuracy, and ongoing system improvements.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and enhancements to the financial close cycle and reporting efficiency.
- Provide financial analysis, KPI monitoring, and decision support to executive and operational leadership.
- Serve as a resource to accounting staff while fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and/or Experience Required:
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
License: None required
Experience: 5-8 years progressive accounting experience, including healthcare provider or multi-entity experience

- Proficient knowledge of accounting software
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Power Query/Pivot tables, lookups)

- Ability to analyze discrepancies, identify root causes, and resolve issues efficiently
Salary : $70 - $85
