Position Details:
- Shift Availability: Night Shift (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Status: Full Time
Position Summary:
As a Registered Nurse, you will assume leadership responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of patient care activities, while maintaining professional nursing standards in accordance with TJC, CMS, and state regulations. Your primary duties will include:
- Providing direct patient care within the scope of your RN nursing license.
- Acting as Charge Nurse as assigned, providing oversight to ancillary staff.
- Ensuring quality and compliance in nursing care delivery.
- Communicating effectively with medical staff and the Director of Nursing regarding patient care issues.
- Performing patient assessments and ensuring timely, accurate documentation in the medical record.
- Adhering to infection control guidelines and employee health protocols.
- Participating in performance improvement initiatives and completing assigned chart monitoring.
- Facilitating admissions in coordination with the Service Development Department.
- Collaborating with the treatment team on patient goals, interventions, and assessments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- License: RN License through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- Experience: Minimum one year of experience in mental health, with experience in caring for dual diagnosis patients preferred.
