Position Summary
We are seeking a high-level, client-facing Senior Project Director to lead high-stakes recovery and reconstruction efforts. In this revenue-focused role, you will be the bridge between the initial disaster response and the final financial settlement. You are responsible for the full lifecycle of a project—from the first onsite inspection and Xactimate estimation to final sign-off. As the primary liaison for property managers and insurance adjusters, you will ensure that every phase of mitigation and rebuilding is executed with precision, profitability, and exceptional communication.
Primary Responsibilities
Project Architecture & Technical Oversight
- Conduct comprehensive site assessments to draft precise scopes of work using Xactimate.
- Negotiate and validate estimates with third-party administrators (TPAs), consultants, and insurance adjusters to secure project approval.
- Ensure all recovery and build-back activities comply with current building codes, safety regulations, and industry-standard protocols.
- Partner with production teams to transition approved scopes into active jobsites, defining budgets, labor needs, and timelines.
Strategic Sales & Client Management
- Transform incoming leads into active contracts through rapid response, persistent follow-up, and expert negotiation.
- Maintain a robust professional network of referral partners and insurance industry contacts to hit annual revenue benchmarks.
- Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce) to track lead progression, project milestones, and client interactions with high data accuracy.
Financial Performance & Compliance
- Direct the financial health of each project, maintaining strict oversight of profit margins, budget variances, and cost controls.
- Manage the full billing cycle, including progress draws, deductible collection, and final closeouts.
- Audit all change orders and supplements to protect project profitability and ensure scope accuracy.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years in the disaster restoration or specialized construction sector, with at least 2 years in a dedicated Estimator or PM capacity.
- Expertise: Proven track record handling large-loss, commercial, or industrial projects involving water, fire, or environmental remediation.
- Education: High school diploma required; a degree in Construction Management or Business is highly preferred.
- Technical: Advanced proficiency in Xactimate and CRM software.
- Certifications: IICRC (WRT/ASD/FSRT), OSHA safety training, or Xactimate Level 2/3 certifications are preferred.
- Flexibility: Ability to provide emergency response support outside of standard business hours and travel to various jobsites as required.
