Payroll Specialist | Austin, TX
We're partnering with a growing team in Austin that’s looking to add an experienced Payroll Specialist. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning the payroll process, working through the details, and being part of a collaborative accounting/HR team.
What you’ll be doing:
• Process payroll accurately and on time for employees across multiple pay cycles
• Review timesheets, deductions, benefits, garnishments, bonuses, and other payroll adjustments
• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure information is accurate and up to date
• Assist with payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and year-end processing, including W-2s
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions
• Partner with HR and Accounting on payroll-related reporting and reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Support process improvements and help maintain strong payroll controls
What we’re looking for:
• 2 years of hands-on payroll experience
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, taxes, deductions, and compliance
• Experience with a major payroll system such as ADP, UKG, Workday, Paycom, or similar
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage deadlines and handle confidential information
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
