We are partnering with a growing organization looking to add an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to its accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning the AP process, working in a fast-paced environment, and being part of a collaborative team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with high-volume accounts payable and be comfortable managing invoices from receipt through payment while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal partners.
Responsibilities:
- Process, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
- Perform two-way and three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation
- Prepare and process payments via ACH, check, and wire
- Maintain vendor records, including new vendor setup and documentation
- Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment or invoice issues
- Assist with AP account reconciliations and month-end close
- Review expense reports and supporting documentation as needed
- Maintain accurate AP records and documentation
- Partner with internal departments to resolve invoice and approval issues
- Assist with additional accounting projects as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years of Accounts Payable experience preferred
- Experience working in a high-volume AP environment preferred
- Strong understanding of the full accounts payable cycle
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus
