About The Role

The Front End Supervisor in LA MESA, MESA, plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the front-end team to ensure exceptional customer service and efficient transaction processing. This position is responsible for leading, training, and motivating front-end staff to maintain high standards of accuracy, professionalism, and productivity. The supervisor will manage scheduling, resolve customer issues, and collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance the overall customer experience. By monitoring performance metrics and providing constructive feedback, the Front End Supervisor ensures that team goals align with the company’s objectives. Ultimately, this role is essential in fostering a positive work environment that supports both employee development and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a front-end retail or customer service role.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Strong knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail or grocery environment.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a diverse team.
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of front-end staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to enhance team performance and customer service skills.
  • Manage employee schedules, attendance, and shift coverage to meet operational needs.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor cash handling procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and security standards.
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to implement process improvements and resolve operational challenges.
  • Prepare and analyze daily reports on sales, transactions, and team performance metrics.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-end environment.
