Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Springfield, OR, for a Safety Coordinator. The Safety Coordinator will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, develop and deliver safety training programs, and conduct routine safety inspections. The position involves participating in and leading accident investigations, identifying areas for risk reduction, and maintaining records to enhance workplace safety. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with management and employees to implement and improve safety policies and practices at the facility.
Qualifications
- Understanding of Health & Safety policies and compliance standards
- Experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Occupational Health
- Proficiency in designing and delivering Safety Training programs
- Skills in Accident Investigation and the ability to analyze safety incidents for risk mitigation
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and other safety standards
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar credentials are a plus
