Position Summary

Do you enjoy caring for others but want a little variety in your day? Franklin General Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Emergency Department Registration Specialist to join our team.

This unique position combines direct patient care with emergency department registration duties, providing the opportunity to make a difference in multiple ways. The ideal candidate is compassionate, adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering a five-star experience to every patient and family member.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Provide basic nursing care under the direction of licensed nursing staff
• Support restorative care and promote patient comfort and independence
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and healing environment
• Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff
• Cross-train and assist with Emergency Department and Hospital patient registration
• Management of EMS call process
• Collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information accurately
• Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional, compassionate manner
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and colleagues
• Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

Qualifications

• Current Iowa Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Strong computer skills required
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
• Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Previous healthcare registration experience preferred but not required

• Full-Time
• 12-hour shifts
• 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
