Job Responsibilities
Some responsibilities include:
Patrol an assigned area / maintain order
Direct vehicle / pedestrian traffic
Enforce state laws and regulations
Perform assigned investigations of criminal and non-criminal incidents
Make on-view or warrant arrests for criminal statue violations
Enforce traffic laws and regulations
Job Requirements
- Age 21 at Appointment to Sworn Officer
- Education High School Diploma/G.E.D. Equivalent & O.P.O.T.A.
- Must have a current valid Ohio Driver’s License
- Must have attended a Police Academy and possess an Ohio Peace Officer Training Certificate for POLICE (Not Security)
- We will consider your application if you are presently in the police academy.
- Must have knowledge of Correct English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Additional Requirement: No felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude.
- Candidates with experience working in a police department, with military experience, or with an associate of arts degree in criminal justice or a related field will be considered more desirable.
- Clean driving record
- Available to work a minimum of 24 Hours a week.
- Must always be on time to work.
- Must be honest.
- Pass a background check that includes a polygraph, physical fitness test, credit check, we will contact your prior employers & references.
- Yearly Uniform Allowance
- Special Duty Rate $71 hour
