Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Police Officer located in Westerville, OH. The Police Officer will be responsible for maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, conducting criminal investigations, gathering and preserving evidence, and responding to emergencies. The role also requires providing assistance to community members, promoting community relations, and ensuring the well-being of the residents of Blendon Township.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in law enforcement operations, including crime prevention and maintaining public order
• Experience in handling evidence and conducting criminal investigations
• Familiarity with police-related procedures and an understanding of legal and ethical protocols
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, informed decisions
• Completion of state-mandated police academy training and valid certification as a Police Officer
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Knowledge of the laws and cultural context specific to Westerville, OH is a plus
