What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Technician - 2nd SHIFT position at Franklin Precision Industry Inc?
Essential Functions
- Collect, sort, and stage plastic components and scrap materials from production lines.
- Transport materials to designated accumulation or processing areas using authorized equipment.
- Maintain FIFO practices and adhere to material flow standards consistent with TPS and plant procedures.
- Support recycling and waste-handling requirements by following established documentation processes.
- Perform routine removal of trash, scrap, and packaging materials from assigned manufacturing zones.
- Conduct basic visual checks to ensure materials are properly classified and contamination is minimized.
- Complete required logs, counts, or system entries to maintain material accuracy.
- Participate in company 5S and housekeeping programs.
- Communicate irregularities, shortages, or process issues promptly to the supervisor.
- Crosstrain to support material handling activities across other areas as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Work Experience Requirements
- Prior material handling or manufacturing experience preferred
- Must obtain a forklift operator’s license through company training
- EHS (Safety) experience highly preferred
- Proven experience in plastic recycling operations is essential
