Systems Engineer – Cloud Specialization | Full-Time | Financial Services | Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Our client is a leading financial services organization with a strong presence in Boston. They operate complex infrastructure and cloud environments to support critical business operations and are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure and secondary exposure to AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure solutions.
- Assist with technical projects, upgrades, and change activities across systems and platforms.
- Collaborate with architects and wider IT teams to integrate new technologies and ensure smooth transitions into BAU.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support during critical incidents.
- Maintain documentation and contribute to compliance and lifecycle management tasks.
Must Haves
- Over five years of real-world experience building and supporting Azure and hybrid identity environments
- Skilled in automation and infrastructure design using scripting and IaC tools such as PowerShell, Bicep, or Terraform
- Strong understanding of network architecture, connectivity, and firewall management
- Hands-on background in cloud and endpoint protection, including Microsoft 365 security and modern detection/response platforms
- Communicates clearly, documents thoroughly, and maintains a professional, detail-oriented approach
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in Azure cloud services (compute, storage, networking, identity).
- Secondary knowledge of AWS environments.
- Familiarity with virtualization, storage, and backup technologies.
- Understanding of automation and scripting practices (PowerShell preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
