A well-established financial services organization is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its enterprise PMO. Responsibilities
- Lead multiple concurrent projects through the full project lifecycle
- Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to define requirements and project objectives
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and issues while developing mitigation strategies
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across technical and non-technical business units
- Facilitate project meetings, status reporting, and executive communications
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and implementation partners
- Maintain project governance, documentation, and audit-ready records
- Support process improvement initiatives and business transformation efforts
- Assist in developing PMO standards, methodologies, and best practices
Requirements
- 5 years of project management experience, with 10 years preferred
- Proven experience delivering a broad range of business and technology projects
- Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, budgeting, and stakeholder management
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into actionable project plans
- Exceptional documentation and technical writing skills
- Strong organizational and analytical capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Experience in regulated industries strongly preferred, including:
- Banking
- Financial Services
- Insurance
- Healthcare
- Other highly regulated environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with PM tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Monday.com, or similar
- PMP or CAPM certification preferred, or willingness to pursue certification
Preferred Background:
The successful candidate will be a true Project Manager rather than a specialist focused solely on infrastructure, product management, or Agile delivery. Candidates should be comfortable operating in a predominantly waterfall environment while applying Agile principles where appropriate.
This is an on-site position requiring five days per week in the office.
Salary : $116,000 - $130,000
