Network Engineer | 6-12 months | Jersey City, NJ | $70-$75p/h
We're supporting a major enterprise infrastructure program and are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to play a key role in a large-scale campus and Data Centre network refresh.
This is a hands-on position focused on delivering critical network migrations, switch replacements, and infrastructure upgrades across a complex Cisco environment. You'll work alongside an experienced engineering team to execute planned maintenance, support large-scale migration activities, and help modernize a production network with minimal disruption to the business.
What you'll be doing
- Deliver Cisco Catalyst 9300 switch deployments and IOS-XE upgrades.
- Migrate configurations from legacy switching platforms into new infrastructure.
- Execute network cutovers and switch replacements during scheduled maintenance windows.
- Support migrations from Cisco Nexus environments into modern Catalyst infrastructure.
- Assist with Cisco ACI-connected uplink migrations and enterprise network deployments.
- Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 issues during implementation and post-migration validation.
- Stage, configure, test and deploy network hardware.
- Produce clear technical documentation and work within established change management processes.
What we're looking for
- Active CCNP certification
- 5 years' experience in enterprise network engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst 9300 switches, Cisco Nexus platforms, Cisco IOS-XE and Cisco ACI.
- Proven experience delivering switch refresh programmes, network migrations and infrastructure cutovers.
- Solid understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking.
- Experience working within enterprise change control environments.
- Comfortable supporting planned out-of-hours maintenance activities when required.
