Senior Infrastructure Manager

We're seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Manager to lead the evolution of a core infrastructure environment. This is a highly technical leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys remaining hands-on while leading engineers, driving modernisation initiatives, and shaping infrastructure strategy.

You'll oversee critical enterprise infrastructure across both on-premises and hybrid cloud environments, ensuring platforms remain secure, resilient, and highly available while supporting business growth and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the day-to-day operation of enterprise infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and operational excellence.
• Design, implement and support infrastructure solutions spanning compute, storage, backup, disaster recovery and hybrid cloud environments.
• Drive infrastructure transformation projects including platform upgrades, technology refreshes and modernisation initiatives.
• Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues, performing root cause analysis and guiding remediation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of infrastructure engineers.
• Manage third-party vendors and technology partners while maintaining technical ownership of infrastructure solutions.
• Support infrastructure roadmap planning, technology selection and budgeting.
• Ensure infrastructure platforms meet security, audit and compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation and configuration management practices.

What We're Looking For

• 8 years of enterprise infrastructure experience with a strong technical background.
• Previous experience leading infrastructure or platform engineering teams while remaining technically hands-on.
• Expertise across enterprise compute, virtualisation, storage, backup and disaster recovery technologies.
• Experience supporting both traditional data centre environments and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex production issues.
• Experience delivering enterprise infrastructure upgrades and transformation programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience working within highly regulated industries.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and cloud migration programmes.
• Familiarity with enterprise IT service management and configuration management platforms.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring, automation and operational tooling.
