Senior IT Operations & Security Engineer
Seeking a hands-on engineer to own core IT operations while building practical security controls. This role focuses on supporting and securing M365, Entra, Intune, network, and SaaS environments, while translating SOC 2 requirements into well-run, scalable systems. The position blends day-to-day engineering with security ownership and is best suited for someone who enjoys operating and improving core IT platforms.
Responsibilities
- Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune (users, access, devices, SaaS integrations)
- Maintain networks, Wi-Fi, VPNs, firewalls, and core infrastructure
- Support Azure resource hygiene and ITSM-integrated monitoring
- Lead IT projects and endpoint hardening initiatives
- Implement security controls for SOC 2 / PCI (logging, backups, access, EDR)
- Help deploy and operate a SIEM and support incident investigations
- Own ITSM workflows and handle Tier 2/3 escalations
You Bring
- 4 years in IT operations / systems engineering (50–500 user environments)
- Strong experience with M365, Entra, Intune, and Windows endpoint management
- Solid networking knowledge and firewall administration
- Practical security and logging/monitoring experience
- Exposure to SOC 2 or similar frameworks
- PowerShell scripting and automation skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in regulated environments, PCI familiarity, SIEM tools, Linux, or prior ITSM ownership
