What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Support Engineer position at Franklin Fitch?
Enterprise Applications Support Engineer - Law Firm
Contract to Hire (6 Months)
Hybrid- 2 days onsite (Boston OR New York)
We're working with a well established law firm to find an Enterprise Applications Support Engineer on a contract to hire basis. The firm is currently building out their enterprise applications team and this is a key early hire, a real opportunity to come in and make an impact.
The situation
The firm runs iManage for document management and is currently mid-transition from on-premises to cloud. This person will play a hands-on role in that transition alongside supporting day to day operations. If you've managed iManage in both environments, this one is worth a look.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting and maintaining enterprise applications across the firm including document management, time, billing, and financial systems
- Hands on iManage support covering on-prem environment and cloud migration
- Server and system upgrades, installs, and ongoing maintenance
- Tier 2 and tier 3 application support, this is not a helpdesk role
- Building and maintaining integrations between legal applications and enterprise systems
- Working closely with a small, newly formed team across Boston and New York
What they're looking for
- Solid iManage experience is the number one priority, specifically on-prem and ideally cloud or mid-migration experience
- Background in enterprise application support, not desktop or helpdesk
- Experience with server and systems administration alongside application support
- Aderant or similar legal finance platform experience is a plus
- SQL, scripting (PowerShell or Python), and API integration experience helpful
- Someone who can commit to 6 months contract with a genuine interest in converting to permanent
The honest picture
We know the full package is hard to find here. If you have strong iManage experience and a solid application support background, it's worth a conversation even if you don't tick every box.
The details:
- 6 month contract to hire
- Based in Boston or New York, 2 days per week onsite
- Straightforward interview process, roughly 90 minutes total
