IT Onsite Engineer | $65,000 – $75,000 | Hybrid (2 days onsite) | Hollywood, FL
Overview
We are seeking a reliable, technically strong, and customer-oriented IT Onsite Engineer to support our clients in the Hollywood, FL area. This role focuses on delivering hands-on technical assistance, resolving onsite issues, and ensuring smooth daily operations across user devices, networks, and Microsoft 365 environments. The ideal candidate excels at troubleshooting, communicates professionally, and thrives in a fast-paced field services setting.
Key Responsibilities
Onsite Technical Support
- Provide onsite support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues
- Support user onboarding/offboarding, including workstation setup and device imaging
- Perform networking tasks including running cables, configuring switches, installing access points, and diagnosing connectivity issues
- Assist with Microsoft 365 administration, including mailbox setup, user access, Teams/OneDrive issues, and security configurations
- Maintain accurate records of equipment, assets, and warranty actions
Field Services & Ticket Management
- Respond to onsite service requests and scheduled client visits, ensuring timely resolution
- Document all work via the ticketing system, providing clear and detailed notes
- Handle a range of Level 2-3 technical tasks.
- Support users with Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, and general networking inquiries
- Utilize remote tools when needed to diagnose or resolve offsite issues
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Create and maintain documentation for client systems, procedures, and technical environments
- Update internal knowledge base articles to support consistent service delivery
- Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions or process improvements
Professional Growth
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers during complex project work
- Participate in ongoing training to strengthen skills in Microsoft 365, networking, and security
- Work toward industry certifications aligned with Microsoft, CompTIA, or networking technologies
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of IT support or onsite technician experience
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration (accounts, mailflow, Teams, OneDrive, permissions)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
- Familiarity with Windows 10/11 environments and common business applications
- Experience with ticketing systems such as Autotask, ConnectWise, or similar
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-first, professional approach
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently onsite
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, Security/Hybrid Administrator, M365 Enterprise Admin)
- Experience with Entra ID, Azure AD, Intune, or RMM tools such as Datto
- Experience supporting small to mid-size business networks (Fortinet, UniFi, Cisco, etc.)
