Franklin Biolabs, Inc. is in search of a Scientist II who will support the execution and development of immunological assays to advance preclinical and clinical studies for therapeutic candidates. The role requires hands-on laboratory work, including assay execution, PBMC and lymphocyte isolation, and mammalian cell culture under GLP and CLIA guidelines. The Scientist II will work closely with senior scientists and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality data generation in a dynamic, regulated environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline
- 4 years of relevant laboratory experience in immunological assays or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Solid understanding of immunological assay techniques such as ELISA, ELISPOT, and neutralizing antibody assays.
- Proficiency with PBMC/lymphocyte isolation, mammalian cell culture, and basic immunology concepts.
- Basic knowledge of GLP, CLIA, and GCLP standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs accurately.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Good organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a regulated, fast-paced environment.
On-Site:
- This position requires full-time on-site presence at our Discovery Labs location.
Immunizations and Screenings:
- This position will require working with animal tissues and biofluids (e.g. Non-Human Primates, Rabbits, Rats, Mice).
- This position requires access to lab spaces.
- This position will require access to lab animal spaces.
Essential Status:
- Essential for Research: This position may be required to go on-site to perform their regular work functions related to continued research during periods of adjusted operations. This would not likely be required to go on-site during a company closure under normal business operations.
