We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented New Construction Cleaner to join our team. This role involves cleaning and preparing newly constructed or renovated buildings to ensure they meet high standards of cleanliness and safety before occupancy. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial, residential, or industrial cleaning, with a focus on new construction sites. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of new construction sites, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Remove debris, leftover materials, and construction waste from job sites to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and fixtures to ensure clarity and shine.
- Apply floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing to restore surfaces to their best condition.
- Assist with custodial tasks including trash removal, surface disinfecting, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Support facilities maintenance activities related to cleaning company office and rental properties.
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate cleaning schedules and address specific site needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in new construction or post-construction cleaning preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures, including floor care and buffing techniques.
- Experience with residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Prior porter or maintenance experience is advantageous but not required. This position provides an essential service in preparing new construction spaces for occupancy while offering opportunities for skill development in various cleaning and maintenance disciplines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
