What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager on Duty position at Franchise Location?
Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Interessant Hotels & Resorts Management. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
- Oversee hotel operations across all departments during assigned shifts, ensuring service standards and operating procedures are followed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for operational issues, guest escalations, and departmental coordination.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, online reviews, and service performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee Front Desk operations, including check-in/check-out, billing accuracy, room assignments, and guest communications.
- Conduct property walks to monitor cleanliness, safety, maintenance, and overall hotel presentation.
- Provide guidance and direction to associates, reinforcing service standards, accountability, and proper procedures.
- Respond to guest complaints, emergencies, and operational challenges, escalating significant issues to senior management as needed.
- Complete shift reports, document incidents, and communicate outstanding concerns and follow-up items to leadership.
- Previous hotel Front Desk, Rooms Operations, or hospitality supervisory experience required.
- Marriott experience preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and work independently.
- Flexibility to work primarily PM shifts, including weekends and holidays.
