Electrical Kit Assembler

Assemble wire harnesses and electronic parts required for conversions of vehicles, produce precision units according to product specifications using schematics and other directions for assembly, adjust units based on testing results, and complete measuring, fitting, soldering, and testing of parts and finished product. This position reports to a Line Supervisor and then to the Plant Manager.

Job Category: Hourly, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
• Deliver internal orders to workstations.
• Utilization of work order processing software.
• Participate in departmental meetings and training.
• Abide by all OSHA safety requirements including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean workstation and production facility.
• Assist in performance of periodic departmental and facility wide inventories.
• Assist in periodic facility expansion and upgrade projects.

Salary & Compensation:

The Electrical Kit Assembler position is a standard hourly position with approximate pay rate dependent upon qualifications and experience.

All salary and compensation packages at FR Conversions are subject to applicable labor laws, FR Conversions standard company policies, and payroll law including taxes and withholdings.

Job Categorization:

The Electrical Kit Assembler position is a full-time, hourly, FLSA non-exempt position. (SOC Code - 51-2092).

This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position.

A Safety Sensitive position at FR Conversions is subject to post-offer and random drug/alcohol screenings.

Critical Job Requirements

• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools, automobile mechanics and electrical systems.
• Ability to individually lift 50-100 pounds.
• Ability to be on feet and physically active in a non-environmentally controlled plant facility for 8-hour shift including bending, twisting, kneeling, and lifting.
• Ability to judge distances and read signs.
