The Assembler and Fabrication Technician position at FR Conversions is a member of the Preproduction team whose primary duties center around Fabrication specific assembly workstations. Associates in this category are assigned to a specified workstation to perform tasks from preparing a vehicle for modification through the assembly process with a focus on fabrication. Associates are required to train on multiple workstations and will be assigned to stations as required by the production schedule. All Associates are required to be flexible and trained on multiple stations. This position reports to a Line Supervisor and then the Plant Manager.
Job Category: Hourly, Monday through Friday 6am-3:30pm.
Primary Responsibilities
- Fabricate and Assemble parts or vehicle components (dependent on department alignment).
- Utilization of work order processing software.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training.
- Abide by all OSHA safety requirements including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assists in performance of routine preventive maintenance as well as inspections of assigned equipment.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and clean workstation and production facility.
- Assist in performance of periodic departmental and facility wide inventories.
- Assist in periodic facility expansion and upgrade projects.

Salary & Compensation:
The Assembler and Fabrication Technician position is a full-time hourly position with approximate pay dependent upon qualifications and experience.
All salary and compensation packages at FR Conversions are subject to applicable labor laws, FR Conversions standard company policies, and payroll law including taxes and withholdings.
Job Categorization:
The Assembler and Fabrication Technician position is a full-time, hourly, FLSA non-exempt position. (SOC Code - 51-4121).
This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position.
A Safety Sensitive position at FR Conversions is subject to post-offer and random drug/alcohol screenings.
All positions at FR Conversions are subject to at cause and post-incident drug/alcohol screenings.
Qualifications:Job Requirements
- 1 year experience working in assembly or fabrication.
- Experience with blue print/schematic reading.
- Ability to individually lift 50-100 pounds.
- Physical ability to work full day lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling in a non-environmentally controlled work environment in a loud work environment.
- Ability to judge distances and read signs.
- This position may require employee to wear a respirator during job performance for extended periods of time. Applicant should be prepared to successfully pass physical and FIT testing for respirator usage.
Education & Experience Requirements
- 1 year experience working in assembly or fabrication.

- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
