Position Summary
This position serves as a technical expert within the Accounts Payable team. The AP II is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function across multiple production facilities, supporting the month-end close process, and assisting accounting management with various duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounts payable function for multiple production facilities
- Process invoices on a daily basis
- Follow up with vendors and internal personnel to resolve accounts payable issues
- Prepare financial and management reports as required
- Prepare supporting documentation for month-end closing journal entries
- Understand, communicate, and enforce accounting policies and procedures established by FPL
Education
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
OR - 5–10 years of accounts payable experience (manufacturing industry preferred)
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in accounts payable
- 5–10 years of experience with accounting systems and procedures
Skills & Competencies
- Demonstrated leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Outlook
Travel Requirements: Up to 10% travel may be required
