Our client is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily operations at a specialty chemical manufacturing site in greater New Orleans. This role oversees all plant production activities while driving safety, reliability, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead day-to-day production operations and support long-term planning
- Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient plant performance
- Collaborate with site leadership on budgeting, capital planning, and operational strategy
- Build, coach, and develop operations personnel; support training and onboarding
- Partner closely with maintenance, supply chain, and other plant functions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related) highly preferred
- 4-6 years of hands-on chemical manufacturing experience
- 3 years in Lead, Supervisor, or Manager-level role
- Proven capabilities to drive cultural change and instill Operational Excellence practices
Salary : $160,000 - $170,000
