Job Overview
Looking for an outgoing person for our lively and fast paced coffeeshop. Duties include cashier, customer service, being a barista crafting custom drinks, food handling and prep, and ensure the coffeeshop runs smoothly and efficiently. This position gives an oppurtunity to develop your skills in food and beverage and customer service. Restaurant experience preferred. Early morning and mid morning shifts and saturdays. Open 7-2 M-F and 8-1:30 on Saturdays.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair.
- Operate POS systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations, seating areas and kitchen.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Manage cash handling duties with accuracy, including cash register operations and basic retail math.
- Follow food safety guidelines during food handling, preparation, and serving to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Food preparation tasks as needed, supporting overall café operations.
Experience Preferred
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as square.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods seamlessly.
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and basic math for cash handling and retail transactions.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
