What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate (Litigation) Associate position at Fox Rothschild LLP?
Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in the New York office for a Real Estate Associate with two to four years of real estate litigation experience. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position at this time.
Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of New York.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.
- Experience in all aspects of real estate litigation as well as co-op/condominium litigation experience.
- Experience with general litigation, landlord-tenant litigation, license/access agreements, construction contracts and litigation, development agreements, contract disputes is strongly preferred.
- Courtroom experience in Supreme Court and Housing Court preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
Visual Acuity
- Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Compensation & Benefits
- The salary range for this position applies to New York. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $210,000 - $225,000 in New York.
