Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and fryers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety standards
- Assist in meal preparation for both dine-in service and catering events
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality in all food production processes
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and ensure smooth service flow
- Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients in advance and suggesting improvements based on operational needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety management, sanitation standards, and safety protocols in production environments
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
