Quality Control Technician Lead (Weekend Day Shift)

Position Summary: Lead and motivate the performance of key quality teams in support of manufacturing. Drive improvements for quality control processes and procedures. Position Responsibilities: Gives direction and improvement recommendations for quality processes. Ensures compliance with quality control standards. Monitors quality processes. May conduct quality training programs for technicians, inspectors and/or for the production line. Mentors quality and line staff and facilitates problem solving. Maintains standard quality practices across all processes. Records data, makes computations, analyzes results, and writes reports. Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required: Ability to work with cross-functional teams Strong leadership ability Strong manufacturing knowledge (5S, Lean Manufacturing, technical drawing understanding) Familiarity with MS Office, Excel, and Outlook Position Qualifications: Education: HS Graduate, AA degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience Experience: 5 years prior quality control experience required, preferably in manufacturing environment People leadership experience desired, but not required Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Production/Manufacturing environment Lifts up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer Disclaimer: This list does not represent all physical demands.
