Our client, a Juniors Women’s apparel manufacturing brand, is seeking a Senior Designer with a focus on Junior’s activewear and loungewear to join their growing team!
Responsibilities
- Lead seasonal concept development for Juniors lounge and activewear collections
- Establish color palettes, fabric direction, silhouettes, and key item strategies
- Identify and interpret trends into commercially viable, high-volume product
- Lead sketching, CAD development, tech packs, and sample approvals
- Maintain strong understanding of fabric innovation and performance materials appropriate for off-price cost structures
- Develop seasonal line plans aligned with retail calendars, off-price opportunities, and sales goals
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive landscape within the off-price channel
- Build balanced assortments with clear pricing architecture and margin targets
- Partner with sales teams to tailor assortments to key off-price accounts
- Present seasonal collections internally and to retail partners
- Work closely with production and sourcing teams to ensure cost targets and margin expectations are met
- Drive value engineering without compromising trend relevance
- Manage development timelines to support fast-paced manufacturing schedules
- Oversee fittings and ensure quality, consistency, and brand standards
- Collaborate with graphic and technical design teams
Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in Juniors apparel design, with a strong focus on lounge and/or activewear
- Proven experience in a manufacturing, private label, or off-price environment
- Strong familiarity with the off-price market, including account expectations, pricing strategy, and speed-to-market demands
- Demonstrated commercial success building high-volume product
- Deep understanding of the Juniors customer and competitive retail landscape
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
$90k-$120k depending on experience
