Purpose of Role

The Men's and Women's Active Designer oversees the entire lifecycle of apparel product design, from concept development to execution, ensuring alignment with the brand identity and market trends. They deliver innovative and market-leading apparel offerings, leveraging consumer insights and industry trends to drive product excellence and brand differentiation.

Your Impact

• Collaborate closely with Design director on seasonal line development for activewear across diverse product categories (wovens, cut & sew, bottoms, and outerwear).
• Conduct in-depth market research and store shopping to identify trends, color schemes, and styles that are directly aligned with our customer brands.
• Expertly create comprehensive tech packs, tech flats, and specifications to drive an efficient development into production process.
• Source and develop custom fabrics, prints and trims.
• Manage and oversee the sample development process, ensuring strict adherence to the established calendar and milestone dates.
• Actively participate in fittings and make design adjustments based on fit feedback and the desired aesthetic.
• The candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to pivot priorities effectively, and a collaborative spirit, all while maintaining a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in technical activewear within a successful commercial space.
• Strong understanding of active apparel market and trends.
• Well-versed in manufacturing techniques and have experience working at the factories on development issues.
• Expert ability to express concepts and ideas through hand sketching.
• Understanding of pattern, movement, and technical construction to communicate effectively with pattern-makers.

Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00
