Our client, a growing home décor business, is seeking a Product Development Manager to lead product development initiatives and support the growth of their expanding assortment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the product development calendar to ensure key milestones and launch timelines are met
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with merchandising, sourcing, and operations teams to bring new products to market
- Partner with Product Managers and leadership on assortment planning, product strategies, and category development
- Conduct trend research and market analysis to inform product direction and innovation
- Oversee product development workflows, ensuring samples, approvals, and revisions remain on schedule
- Prepare merchandising analysis, product presentations, and materials for line reviews and leadership meetings
- Coordinate showroom readiness, including sample tracking, product organization, and presentation execution
- Maintain accurate product data, images, and development status within internal systems
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation, and development efficiency
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, Design, or related field
- 5 years of experience in product development, merchandising, or product management
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple development timelines and cross-functional partners
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred
- Experience in home décor, furniture, or consumer goods
- Familiarity with PLM or ERP systems (Stride, Odoo, or similar)
- Experience supporting seasonal line reviews and showroom merchandising
