Product Development Manager - Jewelry Brand

Our client, a luxury jewelry brand, is seeking a Product Development Manager to join the team in a full-time capacity!

Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and motivate the Product Development team

to ensure high performance and efficiency.

• Implement and enforce quality standards throughout the entire

process, from sample creation to final product inspection.

• Plan and execute production schedules to meet deadlines and fufill

DTC and wholesale orders.

• Manage component inventory and source

materials from vendors, negotiating for the best value and quality.

• Estimate costs for materials and production, prepare

budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities. This includes understanding the

impact of tariffs, metal price fluctuations, and the impact of geographical location

of the factories on landed costs.

• Collaborate with other departments, such as design, sales, and

merchandising, to align PD with demand and customer needs.

• Troubleshoot PD and production issues and address challenges

to ensure timely delivery.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in product development within the

jewelry industry with a portfolio

• Proven ability to manage projects from concept to production successfully,

demonstrating exceptional communication skills, impeccable attention to detail,

excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to

prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Extensive knowledge of jewelry design, gemology, materials, and manufacturing

processes - including CAD design software, PLM, Excel and other relevant tools

used in product development.

• Strong understanding of cost analysis, pricing strategies, and market trends in ?ne

jewelry.

• Systems and operations focused to create or streamline processes and

communication with manufacturers and internal partners.

• Must be experienced in managing a travel budget for business travel and be

available to travel as needed with urgency.
