Our client, an apparel manufacturing company, is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team in Secaucus, NJ!
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain detailed tech packs including measurements, construction details, and materials
- Evaluate samples and provide clear, concise fit and construction comments
- Lead and participate in fit sessions, assessing fit, balance, and overall garment appearance
- Document and communicate fit comments and revisions to cross-functional teams and vendors
- Track and implement corrections throughout the development process to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Collaborate with factories to resolve technical issues and ensure proper execution of design intent
- Follow up with vendors on sample status, revisions, and approvals to maintain development timelines
- Ensure all garments meet brand standards for fit, quality, and construction before production
- Support continuous improvement of fit standards, grading, and technical processes
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and fit
- Ability to analyze fit issues and communicate solutions effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience working with overseas factories and managing sample development is preferred
- Proficiency in technical design tools and software
