Our client, an apparel company, is looking for a Design Director for Boys to join their team in NYC!
Responsibilities:
- Lead the creative direction and seasonal design strategy for the Boys apparel division across multiple categories
- Develop trend-right assortments, color palettes, graphics, prints, and silhouettes that align with brand identity and customer needs
- Manage and mentor a team of designers, CAD artists, and graphic designers, fostering creativity and collaboration
- Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design, and Sales teams to ensure successful execution from concept through production
- Conduct competitive shopping, trend research, and market analysis to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and category expansion
Qualifications:
- 7 years of design experience within boys apparel, with experience at the Senior Designer or Director level preferred
- Strong understanding of boys market trends, fabrications, graphics, fit, and category development
- Proven leadership and team management experience in a fast-paced apparel environment
- Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to drive cross-functional partnerships
Salary : $150,000 - $165,000
