Job Description
We are seeking an experienced licensed electrician to join our team as an O&M & Commissioning Technician. This role is responsible for maintaining best-in-class commercial solar systems.
This person will lead and conduct all preventative and corrective maintenance of our operating projects in the Northeast. Reporting to the Director of Engineering & Operations, this individual will monitor systems and troubleshoot issues from the office while also leading field operations. This is a travel-intensive position, with expectations of visiting projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast approximately 50–75% of the time.

Responsibilities, Skills & Requirements
- Deep understanding of solar energy systems.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable building and safety codes.
- Possess a high level of technical expertise in PV commissioning, operations, and troubleshooting.
- Assist and oversee electrical subcontractors during system commissioning.
- Review and verify commissioning tests meet company standards before approving final completion.
- Conduct final punch-list walkthroughs with electrical subcontractors at project completion.
- Perform annual scheduled onsite preventative maintenance.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting both onsite and remotely.
- Carry out corrective maintenance visits as required.
- Identify and document faults, specification/drawing deviations, safety violations, and related issues.
- Knowledge of Ethernet, cellular, fiber, and machine-to-machine (M2M) communications.
- Demonstrate high integrity and a commitment to quality over speed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in solar electrical work, construction, or O&M.
- High School Diploma.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- OSHA certification.
- Ability to use ladders and work at heights.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Highly developed electrical and PV troubleshooting skills.
- Strong understanding of construction documents and ability to read plans.
- Self-starter who thrives in an independent work environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- NABCEP Installer Certification.
- Electrical license in good standing.
- Extensive experience with commercial solar projects.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
Position Specifics & Benefits

- Annual compensation commensurate with experience.
- Must have valid work authorization.
- Regional travel up to 75% of the time.
Salary : $80,000 - $105,000
