The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of hyperscale data center projects for a major owner-operator client across the United States. This role is responsible for overseeing large-scale, mission-critical developments from preconstruction through commissioning and final turnover.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in data center construction, deep understanding of critical systems (MEP), and a proven ability to lead complex projects in fast-paced, high-demand environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead end-to-end delivery of hyperscale data center projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met
- Develop and implement project execution strategies aligned with client goals and operational requirements
- Champion a safety-first culture and enforce site safety protocols
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Owner and key stakeholders
- Manage relationships with architects, engineers, consultants, general contractors, and trade partners
- Provide clear, consistent reporting on project status, risks, and performance
Scheduling & Planning
- Develop and manage detailed master project schedules (Primavera P6/MS Project)
- Drive coordination across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases
- Identify critical path activities and proactively mitigate schedule risks
Cost & Commercial Management
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting
- Oversee contract administration, including subcontracts and purchase orders
- Lead change management processes and negotiate change orders
- Ensure strong financial controls and cash flow management
Procurement & Supply Chain
- Lead procurement of key trade packages, with a focus on MEP and mission-critical systems
- Manage long-lead equipment procurement (generators, UPS systems, switchgear, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units)
- Ensure alignment of procurement schedules with construction milestones
Technical Oversight & Commissioning
- Oversee installation and integration of critical infrastructure systems
- Ensure compliance with hyperscale standards for uptime, redundancy (N, N 1, 2N), and resilience
- Lead commissioning efforts including Level 1–5 commissioning and integrated systems testing (IST)
- Coordinate with commissioning agents and operations teams for seamless turnover
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks across all phases
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA requirements
- Escalate critical issues and develop mitigation strategies
Project Closeout & Handover
- Manage final delivery including punch list, closeout documentation, and turnover packages
- Ensure delivery of as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties, and training
- Support transition to operations teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 8–12 years of experience in construction/project management
- Strong experience delivering hyperscale or large-scale data center projects
- Deep understanding of MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructure
- Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, and construction management software platforms
- Proven track record managing complex budgets ($100M ), schedules, and multi-stakeholder environments
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with major US Contractors.
- Familiarity with fast-track construction and phased turnover environments
- Experience in commissioning and startup of mission-critical facilities

Salary : $180,000 - $250,000
