Your qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or training in paralegal work (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- At least 3 years of law firm experience in family law.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a variety of recipients of all types and backgrounds.
- Competent research skills, including the ability to know when to “figure it out” and when to seek guidance.
- Ability to focus and prioritize when faced with demanding situations.
- Computer proficiency in basic business and legal programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
- No ego, we work and function as a team, with everyone pitching in where needed.
Your duties:
- Communicate regularly with clients and other professionals regarding all aspects of a family law matter with confidence and professionalism.
- Review, organize, prepare and summarize discovery, including creation of excel spreadsheets and income summaries.
- Assist attorneys with mediation, deposition and trial preparation.
- Assist attorneys with memorandums or motions.
- Perform other special projects and duties as assigned by the attorneys.
